Our verification is grounded in a strict evidentiary principle: a citation is valid only when the reference directly and explicitly supports the exact claim at the point of citation — conceptual proximity, causal association, or topical overlap is never sufficient. Each source is retrieved and read in full, then assessed through independent forward and reverse analysis. The most frequently identified failure is the equivocation error: citing evidence for one construct to support a claim about a related but distinct construct. We also distinguish primary from secondary support — verifying that the cited content is the reference's own original finding, not a relayed conclusion sourced from a third paper, which silently breaks the evidentiary chain. Concurrently, all numerical values in the body text are cross-validated against every figure, table, and supplementary file. Every discrepancy is returned with a precise annotation identifying the specific validity failure and the correction required.
